The Oklahoma Microscopy Society welcomes all Oklahoma elementary schools, public or private to participate in the 29th annual Ugly Bug Contest. Only one (1) bug per school may be submitted. The submission deadline is Friday, October 17, 2025.

Below please find the 2025 Ugly Bug Contest application form and 2025 Ugly Bug Contest Rules and Instructions. The prizes include a STEREO MICROSCOPE EQUIPPED WITH A CAMERA, awarded to each of the winning schools for your science lab.

Winning schools will be contacted about receiving their prize.  And even if you didn’t win a prize, your poster and bug photo will be mailed to you in the next few months.  The prizes are a STEREO MICROSCOPE EQUIPPED WITH A CAMERA, awarded to each of the winning schools for your science lab.
